Grand Master Diwakar “Dan” Maharjan embarked on his Taekwondo journey in 1982 in Nepal, where he honed his skills and eventually became a national coach. With an illustrious career spanning decades, Chief Master Dan has trained numerous national and international Taekwondo champions, including teams from the Royal Nepal Army Tribhuvan Club. He holds the prestigious title of Senior Vice President and Referee Chairman of the US World Class Taekwondo Association and has been recognized with the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award in the USA.

Certified by the World Taekwondo Headquarters – Kukkiwon, Seoul, Korea, and holding a certified World Taekwondo 1st Class International Referee designation, Grand Master Dan's expertise is internationally acclaimed. He was also awarded the National Instructor of the Year in 1998 by the United States Taekwondo Union. In addition to his leadership roles, Grand Master Dan is the Founder, President & Chief Master of Maitri Taekwondo Dojang in Nepal and serves as Tournament Director for the International Open Friendship Taekwondo Championships (IOFTC).
